In its drive to assist small businesses, particularly in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has entered into a partnership with an Abuja based Micro-finance Bank (MFB), Visa Micro- finance Bank Ltd to further improve access to finance.
This is as the apex bank has approved the MFB’s request for funds under the MSMEDF facility to assist small and medium enterprises in the territory. Address- ing newsmen in Abuja, the bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ossy Nebolisa, gave kudos to the CBN for making the funds available to participating MFBs
“Visa Microfinace Bank Ltd started operations in 2009 with the vision to make Nigeria one of the fast- est growing emerging economies through growth in the real sector. Therefore our core mission is to provide quality financial services to Nigeria’s active poor,” Nebolisa said.
